Successful Partnerships

Learning partnerships lead to success

The University has successful partnerships with a range of policing organisations including Cleveland Police, the Defence College of Policing and Guarding, Metropolitan Police and West Mercia Police. We work with both public and private agencies such as Capita, Forensic Science Service, National Police Improvement Agency and Scambusters to support law enforcement. We also collaborate with international organisations including the Norwegian Police University College and the Institute of Education with the Rwandan National Police.

Force for the future

Our foundation degree portfolio and University certificates are designed to meet local policing needs whilst developing professional, confident and competent law enforcement officers to work within the operational environment and the wider criminal justice network.

Courses are mapped to appropriate National Occupational Standards and to the requirements of Professionalising the Investigation Process. Student officers learning on campus make use of our state-of-the-art facilities, which include a police station and interview rooms, along with our extensive Library. If you are studying University accredited programmes in your own force training and development centres, you can utilise a virtual learning environment, online databases and have access to an enhanced force library.
