Our Fine Art programme offers specialist expertise in painting, sculpture and printmaking. An academic staff team of specialist practitioners work in partnership with an established programme of visiting artists, so our students access a diverse and extensive range of fine art expertise.

Throughout the programme, students participate in an ongoing series of public exhibitions designed to develop skills and expertise in contemporary approaches to curatorial practice.

Our annual Cabaret of the Spoken Word event showcases some of the best live work produced on our English Studies and Creative Writing degrees and is accompanied in the interval by ground-breaking local music. Exciting, challenging and fresh - experience some of the best verbal arts performers in the North.

History

Teesside's Historians are a lively, enthusiastic and dedicated team who deliver a wide-ranging and innovative programme of study. During Creative Teesside, our history section showcases a number of final year dissertation projects and student work is displayed using a video installation designed to provide a flavour of the breadth and depth of research undertaken by undergraduates in the history department.

Media

The TV and Media Production Degree Show is our annual showcase of student films. It celebrates the success and achievements of all our graduating students and is the culmination of three years of study, hard work and dedication.

Our graduating students bring a variety of talents and perspectives to their work, covering a wide range of subjects, in an equally wide range of styles. Shortlisted films are screened at the Cineworld cinema in Middlesbrough to an invited audience of friends and family. Awards are presented by guests from industry including successful producers and directors.

As a Skillset Media Academy, we work closely with industry partners to ensure that our students are prepared to work in this challenging, constantly changing environment.

Performing Arts
