Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Maths Graduate who will be a member of the College’s Maths teaching team. The successful candidate will be supported through their Teacher Training qualifications within the College by the Grade 1 Teacher Training team. They will develop their skills and gradually build up their teaching commitment through working with experienced members of the Maths team.

This position offers a valuable opportunity to influence Maths delivery in a further education setting, to ensure all learners develop the skills they need for employment through your expert knowledge of the subject.

The successful candidate will have:
• Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks)
• Level 2 in Literacy (or be willing to work towards within 2 years)
• Level 2 in Numeracy (or be willing to work towards within 2 years)
• Degree in maths or maths related subject at 2:2 or above and will achieve Certificate in Education within 2 years
• Applicants will also have recent experience of delivering effective presentations.

Basis: Full Time   37 hours per week
Start Date: September 2018
Salary Details: £15,959 per annum plus PGCE fees (In addition you may be eligible for the Government’s Initial Teacher Training Bursary of £25,000).
