The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is the main processing facility and centre of excellence for payment, reimbursement, remuneration and reconciliation for NHS Dental Practitioners, Pharmacists, NHS Pensions and other affiliated parties.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Insight Analyst to join our team.

The post holder will be expected to develop the skills necessary to support various aspects of data warehousing, data governance, business intelligence and data analytics.

You’ll work across a range of departments across the Insight function, assisting in the delivery of data requirements and the development of the NHS BSA’s enterprise data warehouse / business intelligence solutions to support analytics, data science activities and insight discovery. You’ll investigate and resolve data issues and anomalies between data sets, as well as supporting / undertaking data science initiatives, as required.

You’ll be involved as required throughout the analytical development lifecycle, from stakeholder engagement, requirement gathering and data model design; meta data and data quality definition; database design, development, and data repository implementation; and the development / refinement of business intelligence and analytics outputs.

You’ll hold a degree-level qualification in Computing, IT, Mathematics or Statistics, or a subject requiring high levels of numeracy. The ability to critically appraise and interpret complex data; to confidently and clearly present information to a variety of audiences; to work with / manipulate large datasets programmatically; and an interest in data science / advanced analytics, would all be beneficial.
