An exciting opportunity to work as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate has arisen as part of a 36-month KTP between Spinnaker International Ltd. and Cranfield University. In this role you will assist with the design and fabrication of an improved and enhanced cash-box which has a significant uplift in its ability to prevent crime and protect cash. This could be achieved by using pyrotechnics, propellants and/or gas generators as part of the product development. The successful candidate will also enjoy a personal £6,000 development budget

The successful candidate must possess:
• Experience in evaluating concepts and designs and implications of design change on manufacturing, product quality and safety
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of the physics and chemistry of materials
• Experience implementing Safety and Environmental considerations of the product lifecycle and all other tasks

Essential skills we require as a minimum:
• You will be able to identify and develop solutions based problems and areas of improvement, and interpret and implement standards, procedures and specifications.
• Strong oral, visual, and written communication and presentation skills, as well as project management experience

Degree subjects required: Masters level degree in Science or Engineering. A PhD in energetic materials, chemistry, engineering or a related subject is desirable
