The Directorate is responsible for:

  • staffing advice
  • developing and implementing the University's HR strategy and national initiatives
  • negotiating with recognised trade unions
  • developing and implementing employment policies
  • reviewing employment legislation and its impact on the University.

The Directorate also oversees:

  • organisational reviews
  • health and safety provision
  • equality and diversity
  • managing change
  • senior manager training
  • statistical data.
