Regulations, Quality and Standards

The Regulations, Quality and Standards strand of the Registry is responsible for the management and co-ordination of approval and review processes connected with Teesside University’s home-based provision, UK colleges, employers and overseas partners. The team has oversight of regulations, quality and standards, is directly responsible for maintaining the University’s Quality Handbook and updates other University quality processes to support curriculum development and to comply with external reference points.

Secretariat, External Review and Audit

The Secretariat, External Review & Audit team manages and supports the University’s academic committee structure. It has oversight of interactions with external audit and review bodies, leading engagements with the HEFCE and the QAA; and
co-ordinating external consultations. Other responsibilities include the management of the University’s processes for annual monitoring and enhancement and external examining; and the development of assessment regulations and framework.

Learning and Teaching Enhancement

The Learning and Teaching Enhancement team work closely with colleagues across the University and with external organisations to ensure best practice in the University’s Learning and Teaching activities. The team provides support for, drives developments in, and coordinates learning and teaching enhancement practices in order to improve the quality of the student learning experience.
