About culture on campus

Culture on campusOur Spring 2010 series has something for everyone and includes:

  • Regular lunchtime events, featuring University staff and performers from the region
  • Spectacular and inspiring evening performances
  • A second comedy opera by Antonio Venturino – building on the success of the Colombo Opera Buffa premiere in November 2009
  • Weekly sessions include the Rock and Soul Choir, Opera Theatre Choir, Wind Band and a new group called the Classic Ensemble
  • We are also supporting a range of other activities in dance, film and drama
  • During 2010 the Institute of Digital Innovation and Culture on Campus are planning to curate a number of exhibitions of staff, student and artist's work in the Phoenix Building. Contact us if you want to make a contribution.

Professor Cliff Hardcastle Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Enterprise), said: 'Culture on Campus is about enriching our campus life where we have the opportunity to enjoy, participate in and be challenged by a wide range of cultural activities. We are sharing these activities with the general public and are being supported by cultural partner organisations.'

Enjoy our Spring 2010 programme and we’ll see you there.
