Sport & Well-being provides top-quality facilities and professional advice for beginners and experienced competitors - don't miss out while you're here.

We have everything you need to enjoy sport & Well-being at Teesside - whether you are an elite athlete competing at international level, or you just want to try a new sport, volunteer or look after your health.

Sports membership

Take advantage of all the sports facilities by joining the Sports membership scheme. Come to the Sport & Well-being stand in The Hub to sign up for your sports membership on Sunday 23 September and receive £10 discount on the annual fee (pay by card, cash or cheque).

Local amenities

Off campus you can enjoy our 60-acre Saltersgill Sports Ground (Football, Rugby and Gaelic Football), the River Tees Water Sports Centre for rowing, canoeing and kayaking and the nearby Tees Barrage, which has a world class white water rafting course. Middlesbrough Cycle Circuit, Billingham Forum Ice Skating Arena and the Neptune Swimming Pool.

Sports clubs

You name it - we probably do it. We support a wide range of sports clubs - everything from snow sports to volleyball.

All abilities are welcome - you may want to join one of the teams that compete at local, regional, national and inter-departmental level.

Campus sport

We offer a wide range of participation activities for you to enjoy whilst you are studying at Teesside. Most of the activities are on Campus during times when you have social time. The aim of the activities is to give you the best University experience possible, help you make new friends and help you try new sports or activities.
