'I’ve come a long way'
Why did you choose to study law?
I represented myself at an employment tribunal against a trade union and spent a lot of time in the University library listening to other law students.
The union barrister said I did well and that I should think about a career in law.
Why did you choose to study law?
There’s no way I could have done the LLB (Hons) Law if Teesside hadn’t offered the degree part-time.
What’s the best thing about studying at Teesside?
The University allows people from different social backgrounds to become barristers – not just those from public schools. I have really come a long way.
