This award, which is run at our partner college, Darlington College, gives you recognition for your previous studies and the opportunity to continue your learning to honours degree level.

The programme combines the best of both worlds - you gain general management expertise but you specialise in your chosen area by taking relevant modules. You develop the analytical and critical approach required by students studying for a degree at honours level.

What you study

If you choose this route you will focus on the developmental needs of staff, and learn about monitoring and managing change. You will also gain a broad understanding of service operations, functionality and developments in hospitality.

How you learn

Modules are taught via lectures, seminars, practical workshops and group work. Teaching staff also adopt a range of web-based technologies to deliver module and programme content, assess, provide feedback and communicate with students.

How you are assessed

The programme is assessed via a variety of methods including assignments, examinations, group work, presentations and live practical projects.

Career opportunities

Graduates from this programme will be well placed to find employment in a wide range of business, management and administrative jobs both in the UK and overseas.

Entry requirements

You need a foundation degree, higher national diploma or equivalent qualification in a business-related subject.
