This award is designed to enhance your knowledge in relation to improving patient and service users' outcomes through the development of knowledge and skills of service improvement especially in relation to patient/service user engagement. The key learning from the award includes user engagement, developing outcome-focused care pathways, working with others both internal and external to the organisation and developing performance measures to enable monitoring and impact in relation to an identified improvement project.

How you learn

Throughout the award you engage in workplace learning to apply the principles of patient/service user involvement to develop an outcome-focused benchmark/standard for use in your workplace.

You submit a 4,000 word report on your involvement in the development of an outcome-focused benchmark/standard in your workplace and how you have engaged service users in that development.

Entry requirements

You should be in a position within your organisation to contribute to a service improvement project.
