Further information

You study the underpinning principles of caring practice and relate these to your own working environment as well as appreciating the role of the multidisciplinary team.

You may be able to study within your own trust establishments or at the University site.

How you learn

You attend study days (one or two days a month) in order to discover and enhance your knowledge regarding client care. You are assessed by producing an assignment that describes and discusses the client journey and the issues around this journey. You are also required to work with a small group of your fellow students to give a presentation regarding an aspect of practice.

Career opportunities

This module can introduce you to academic writing and will support you when applying for higher level programmes, for example pre registration nursing or foundation degrees. It will help you to develop your own study and writing skills as well as your knowledge base regarding your caring role.

Entry requirements

You must be working within a health, social, diagnostic or therapeutic care environment, either formally or informally.

Please contact Mary Nesbitt, m.nesbitt@tees.ac.uk, prior to applying for this module.
