This masterclass will introduce primary care practitioners to the knowledge and skills to assess the acutely ill child using structured assessment and developmentally appropriate tools.

To achieve this a variety of teaching and learning strategies will be used including simulation and group based discussion.

You study:
> child development and important anatomical differences between children and adults
> spotting the sick child using a structured assessment and paediatric assessment tools
> working with the young person who has deteriorating mental health needs.

Entry requirements

This masterclass is suitable for staff working in primary care.

HEENE Funded
To access a HEE funded place your employer must have signed up to the Primary Care Access Policy and accept accountability for the attendance of their employees.

Self-funding
To access this on a self-funding basis applicants must pay the fee before the start of the masterclass using the online shop.
