Change is inevitable. To maintain a competitive edge, it is essential to keep up to date with the latest business thinking. This forward-looking programme reflects upon the development needs of practising managers who are expected to deal with the challenges of changing job roles.

It is designed for professionals who already have some awareness of organisational behaviour and experience in one or more functional areas, usually gained through a management or leadership role. It will also appeal to those with a more generalist, technical or professional background who wish to enhance their leadership skills.

What you study

The programme will develop your skills and knowledge through a series of modules in the areas of leadership, personal effectiveness, the business environment, managing change and technological change.

Professional accreditation

Chartered Management Institute Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will be guaranteed the offer of Associate Member (ACMI) status or, with three years’ managerial experience, full Member (MCMI) status from the Chartered Management Institute.

Career opportunities

Typically graduates take roles in leading and managing change.

Entry requirements

Participants will normally have some experience of operating in a leadership or management role and hold one of the following qualifications: an honours degree or equivalent, a relevant postgraduate qualification or a professional qualification. Applicants without formal qualifications but with significant work experience at an appropriate level are encouraged to apply.
