This exciting programme provides a comprehensive management qualification for individuals with an honours degree in any discipline. It is an ideal choice if you are a recent graduate who wants to develop your management skills and knowledge to enhance your career prospects.

You further your understanding of how organisations work, how they can change and how the innovation and creativity of individuals are central to this process.

What you study

Modules cover all aspects of management expertise, including human resources, finance, accounting, strategy and organisational behaviour. A dissertation at the end of the course allows you to research and explore a management subject of your choice.

How you learn

You learn through a variety of methods both in the classroom and also in workshops. The lectures/workshops are designed to enable you to apply the concepts and theories you have learned to practical situations relevant to modern business.

In addition to the taught elements of the course, undertaking independent research is a key element in each of the modules.

Outside the classroom you are supported by tutors in your particular subject areas.

How you are assessed

Assessment methods vary according to the module studied and include essays, report writing, presentations, formal examinations and course work.

Professional accreditation

Chartered Management Institute Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates are guaranteed the offer of Associate Member (ACMI) status or, with three years’ managerial experience, full Member (MCMI) status from the Chartered Management Institute. Successful graduates should apply directly to the Institute to gain membership after completion of their studies.

Career opportunities

Graduates could be employed in a variety of management roles across the public or private sectors. The course enables you to develop knowledge and skills, both interpersonal and transferable, appropriate to general management.

Entry requirements

The normal entry requirement is an honours degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline. Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant work experience may still be considered.
