What you study

Core modules focus upon evidence-based practice and research. Specialist modules address diverse clinical and practice issues in manipulative therapy. You have the opportunity to choose an option module in Year 2. If you wish to take the MACP accredited route you are required to take the placement module Advanced Practice-based Negotiated Leaning (Manipulative Therapy). You carry out an independent research study in your final Year.

How you learn

Study approaches for each module differ. Within your designated modules a variety of teaching and learning strategies will be incorporated including lectures, practical sessions and group tutorials. This will enable you to acquire mastery in the knowledge, skills and application of manipulative therapy approaches in the clinical management of patients with neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction/disorders.

Designated modules are each delivered as two three-day teaching blocks. You will be required to undertake self-directed learning in order to gain effectively from the taught components.
