Have you got a higher national diploma, foundation degree or equivalent qualification in journalism or a related subject? Have you thought about topping it up to a full degree?
With an extra year of study, you gain a BA (Hons) Journalism and News Practice and advance your communication, writing, technical and related contemporary journalism skills to develop a higher level of professional competence in journalism practice.
As level 3 of an honours degree, there is a significant amount of self-managed learning in this programme. You have a variety of opportunities to choose areas of study and practical journalism for yourself.
You are assessed in a variety of ways including written journalism, deadline news stories, essays, presentations and reflective evaluations.
This programme aims to develop a range of skills to enable you to develop your career and employability options within a range of communications industries and organisations associated with journalism.
A typical offer is based on you successfully completing an appropriate foundation degree (or equivalent).
