This module examines historical and contemporary processes of international migration, development and anti-globalisation within the context of capitalist globalisation. You will cover various issues including the meaning of development; contemporary development policies; famine, hunger and health; child labour; famine, hunger and health; environment, sustainability and development. There is a particular focus on the effectiveness and desirability of current global policy in these areas. You will be encouraged to prescribe policy.
