For over 50 years, pop music has had a major effect on our culture, language and history, and on film, there have been some memorable moments, from early Elvis bursting into 50’s Hollywood, the Beatles bizarre TV experiment MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, and the birth of the `mockumentary’ with SPINAL TAP. These films and more are examined in this module, combining film studies approaches with elements of musicology.
