This module covers the history and development of various perspectives in the psychological study of sexual and close relationships. The module aims to provide students with an understanding of the controversies and debates within the scientific study of sex and draw in critical perspectives from allied disciplines of sociology and social policy. Students will be introduced to the ways in which research in this area has been developed from and applied to therapeutic and educational settings.
