The module gives you the qualities you need to develop higher skills when operating quality management within your working environment. It introduces you to the philosophy behind quality management systems, and the roles, hierarchies and inter-relationships of various organisations involved in quality management and quality assurance. You examine the requirements of relevant international quality management system standards, and the process of developing, obtaining and maintaining certification of a quality management system.
This is achieved through a series of lectures, seminars and tutorials, supported by group work that enhances your employability skills, and through using the Virtual Learning Environment (E-Learning@Tees) to develop, complete and submit your final assessment
