This module will be underscored by the study of interactions that determine the distribution and abundance of organisms. It will address the sustainable exploitation of the richness, diversity and robustness of these organisms or biological systems and their micro- and macro-ecology in key biotechnologies to ensure a balance between environmental, societal and economic requirements.
The module will also explore the complementary and multi-disciplinary analytical techniques that are employed to understand and ensure the sustainable management of several ecological systems.
