Year 2 core modules
Year 3 optional module
Final-year core modules
Modules offered may vary.
This module requires you to produce a research proposal for your final year project. The proposal will contain an explanation of your project and should be targeted at both a specialist audience and the general public. It should include a full economic costing of the project, health and safety and risk assessment documentation, ethical clearance forms and your CV.
More guidance is given in a short lecture series at the beginning of the year, and this is supplemented by lectures, tutorials and workshops.
You join a discipline-based research team consisting of other students and discipline based academics. Each research team operates tutorial sessions to provide academic guidance and support, and to develop your confidence and independence of thought, which are crucial to the successful completion of your hypothesis-driven final year research project. The module is assessed by the submission of a completed research project proposal (100%)
