You learn about the development of websites using mark-up language and style sheets. You are introduced to a web development lifecycle and how web-based analysis and design techniques can be used early in the lifecycle, and how project management and quality assurance/quality control techniques can be applied throughout the web cycle. You look at a website development package and testing, including the concepts of usability and accessibility.

There is an emphasis on the development of professional skills including teamwork, report writing and delivering presentations.

You undertake structured and supported personal development planning activities such as self-assessment, planning and reflection and you are also encouraged to record such activities in your e-portfolio.

Yoiu are assessed by in-course assessment by means of a portfolio which is built up as the module proceeds.
