How to apply to study abroad
Come and see the Journalism Programme Leader Paul Bailey or email p.bailey@tees.ac.uk.
You should make yourself known to either Geoff Watkins, Principal Lecturer in History, or Paul Denison, Principle Lecturer in International Development, so they can inform you about the various partners and options available for studying abroad.
Once you have found a suitable overseas university you should contact the international office for an application form. This form should be completed with your course tutor.
When the application form has been completed, either Geoff or Paul will work with you and your chosen overseas university to agree the exchange.
If you are applying for the US exchange to South Carolina, Heidi Cummins, in the Centre for International Development will work with you to formalise the exchange.
With the American exchange scheme, you will pay your fees here and pick up the study place in America. You are still entitled to your normal student funding, but your time abroad must be an integral part of your programme.
If you want to go on an Erasmus exchange to an EU university, then once your exchange has been agreed , you should apply for your Erasmus grant through the Centre for International Development.
