What made you decide to study for a History degree at Teesside?

I wanted to improve my employment chances and to learn more about a subject that I thoroughly enjoy.

How did you find the course?

The variety of modules on offer meant you could study whichever period you were interested in. One of the modules provided an in-depth study into Ancient Greece – that really appealed to me.

How has your degree helped you achieve your career goal?

I went on to study a Postgraduate Certificate in Education to qualify as a primary school teacher. My history degree has taught me how to manage my time effectively. It has developed my attention to detail which will be invaluable when I’m teaching the students.

Would you recommend Teesside?

I would certainly recommend this degree to anybody with a love for history. It’s a challenging course, but the staff are exceptional. Their dedication and enthusiasm is boundless and I have never, at any moment, felt unsupported – only encouraged.
