ExpoTees 2017

expoTEES

ExpoTees is the School of Computing's annual exhibition that showcases exemplary student work in computer science, computer games, animation, digital media and web.

Meet the graduates joining industry in 2017, speak to them about their projects, view their portfolios and listen to their ideas – and meet staff who have taught and supported them. With over 200 students exhibiting, this is a great opportunity for your company to pre-select talented and innovative potential employees.

ExpoTees: computer science and information systems showcases innovative work in design and development, demonstrating a commitment to advancing technology while offering benefits to business, education or social media. Student work is shown alongside a range of interactive and experimental exhibits using Arduino, robotics, augmented reality and virtual reality to name but a few.

ExpoTees: games, animation and visual effects celebrates outstanding work in entertainment demonstrating creativity, imagination and industry-standard skills from our Skillset-accredited courses that have produced students who have gone on to work on award-winning film and games titles. Our games lounge allows you to play with some of the titles produced by students and a cinema shows some of the fantastic short films created by them too.

The ExpoTees Awards is again the grand finale to the exhibition with students competing for an ExpoTees trophy and prize, judged by a panel comprising businesses and academics.

Testimonials

'In 2011 as a final year student, ExpoTees gave me a platform to exhibit my work and introduced me to what would be my first role in digital. Since then I’ve returned every year as a supporter because Teesside University focuses on teaching techniques and behaviours that are required to succeed in the industry. ExpoTees is about giving these young professionals the opportunity to showcase their talent and for us to provide advice and support as they ready themselves for their next challenge whatever that may be.'
