We are pleased to announce that the ‘Promoting Teaching Excellence’ Learning and Teaching Enhancement Conference will take place on Floor 1 of The Curve on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 June 2017.

The conference is designed to bring staff and students together to explore current issues under the broad heading of 'Promoting Teaching Excellence':

We are delighted that the conference will feature key note presentations by the following speakers:

Professor Stuart Hampton-Reeves, Professor of Shakespeare Studies and Research-informed Teaching, and Director of Research for the Faculty of Business, Law and Applied Social Sciences, University of Central Lancashire.

Eric Stoller, Independent Consultant, Strategic Communication and Digital Engagement.

There will also be short briefings by experts on digital learning and transformation followed by a Q&A session on 27 June. Throughout the two days, there will be a series of provocations, designed to stimulate critical debate around some key agendas.

Delegates can choose to attend up to four workshops/presentations per day delivered by a broad range of speakers on the following themes.

Inquiry based learning
Integrating research, scholarship and teaching for real world impact
Co-producing knowledge with students
Developing criticality
Digital transformation
Promoting active and social learning
Holistic approaches to learning in the 21st Century
Defining teaching excellence

Staff and students from Teesside University and partner colleges are welcome to attend single workshops or participate in the full conference programme.
