Vis Awards prizes

If you enter the Vis Awards you could be selected for a rare internship or a work placement opportunity with a prestigious company.

These are just some of the benefits available to our computing students who put their work forward in the annual competition.

The 2010 Vis Awards are sponsored by leading computer games publisher Ubisoft Reflections, who are offering a number of internships in games design, modelling, character animation and games programming.

Escape Studios is offering prizes of 12 months access to Maya Core online, ZBrush Foundation and Advanced Lighting.

Loft Music is providing an internship for the period of two weeks in their Newcastle offices.


The 2009 Vis Awards saw leading computer games publisher Ubisoft Reflections hand out six month internships to five Vis Awards entrants, each with a salary of £14,000 (pro-rata). The company also provided runner-up prizes of branded goods and game bundles.

Codeworks, which works to drive forward digital innovation in the region, gave prizes worth £100 to winning students, as well as Game Horizon or Connect membership for a 12 month period.

CBeebies offered a work placement opportunity for a winning student to work alongside staff across all CBeebies platforms at their London Headquarters.

Loft Music, which provides music for advertising, TV, film and video games, handed out a two week internship at their Newcastle officers.

So, the Vis Awards really can open doors and set you on your way to a successful career.
