We are delighted to invite you to our sixth raising aspirations conference. Bringing together key people responsible for shaping the future of young people in care, this conference offers a chance to discuss ways to work together to encourage participation, achievement and progression in education.

Who’s the conference for?
• Foster carers – local authority and independent
• Children’s home employees
• Social workers
• Personal advisers
• Designated teachers
• Virtual head teachers
• Local authority teams responsible for young people in and leaving care

At the conference you can hear from key note speaker Jenny Molloy. Jenny spent most of her childhood in care and now regularly advises government bodies on the care and fostering of children. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a workshop of your choice:

1) Mental health; early identification & intervention – Chris Dlamini
2) Multi-agency working to create educational opportunities – Kaizen Partnership
3) Why do they change their minds or drop out? – Kaizen Partnership
4) Mending the gap; innovative approach to service user engagement – Felicity Shenton, Project Manager at the North East Social Work Alliance, Helen Casey, PhD student at Durham University and Bini Araia of Investing in People and Culture

A breakdown on the content of each workshop can be found on the website when you book on.

Lunch is included and offers a great chance to network.
