We have the largest crime scene house to be found in a British university. Inside are over 30 crime scene areas - lounges, kitchens, master bedrooms, children's bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a fire scene, clothes shop, bar and travel agents.
Crime scenes are simulated so you can apply the techniques of crime scene examination learned in the classroom such as evidence location, recovery, packaging and recording.
Our Vehicle Examination Laboratory has a number of different vehicles available for examination. They are used to simulate a range of crimes including theft from vehicles, vehicle accidents and situations where a vehicle has been used in committing a crime.

Our Mock Courtroom is an exact replica of one of the courtrooms at Teesside Combined Court. With state-of-the-art equipment, the room can be set up to simulate family, Crown or magistrates’ court hearings.
Our replica police station facility includes an interview room, examination room, custody office and front desk.
