What drew you to study Law at Teesside?

A Law degree opens the door to many careers. A previous law graduate recommended Teesside University to me. I’m a local girl so it was convenient to study at Teesside.

What was the course like?

Excellent! The lecturers were very approachable and supportive. They operate an open door policy and always supported me to achieve my potential. I graduated with a First.

What did you do next?

I completed my two year training contract with Archers Law LLP, a law firm based in Stockton on Tees, which involved working in various units within the firm. I gained a deeper understanding of commercial and private client law.

Following my training contact, Archers offered me a permanent position as a family solicitor. I now work in the family unit and advise clients on divorce, separation, pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, finance, child related issues and domestic violence.

In due course, I hope to progress to become an Associate and then a Member (Partner) of the firm.
