Research
The aim of research in Teesside University Business School is simultaneously to pursue academic excellence and to promote understanding and effective practice in key areas of business and management. We have a growing research community that currently consists of around thirty research-active members of staff.
The research and enterprise centres are:
- Centre for Fraud and Financial Crime (CFFC)
- Centre for Leadership and Organisational Change (CLOC)
- Centre for Public Governance (CPG)
The centres are made up of Teesside University Business School researchers and fifteen enterprise specialists who aim to apply the school’s research expertise to projects that have immediate practical relevance to partners and stakeholders. Stakeholders include individuals, the academic research community, the business community, and the policy and economic development community.
The success of our research and enterprise strategies is evidenced through:
- escalating research outputs of publications in leading academic journals and other academic media
- more than £3m worth of externally funded research and business support related projects since 2001
- a sharp rise in the school’s research student population in recent years
