Guangxi Qianzhen Pharmaceutical
Guangxi Qianzhen Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, based in southern China, specialises in manufacturing Chinese medicine. It has the capability to produce 5,000 tonnes of medicine a year over its range of 30 products, including pills and liquid medicine. The annual turnover is about £8.3m. There are around 300 local people employed in the manufacturing site. Guangxi Qianzhen is well known for its excellent medicine production among the domestic competitors.
Guangxi Qianzhen gives high priority to developing new products. It has cooperated with the US pharmaceutical company, Chemison, and hopes to find partners in Indonesia and the UK. The company plans to increase cooperation with other companies in research and development and international market development.
In 2004, it achieved Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accreditation and continues to adhere to this standard. It welcomes enquiries from all industries including chemical, food and pharmaceutical sector.

Hangzhou Kadang Network Technologies
Hangzhou Kadang Network Technologies Co Ltd, based in Southeast China, is a small enterprise specialising in design exchange. Its core business is to purchase newly designed logos and images from designers and sell manufactured products to customers who looking for personalised products. Kadang bridges the gaps between designers and customers.
Hangzhou Kadang has a wide range of products including mugs, t-shirts, photos and wedding souvenirs. To produce specific products efficiently, Kadang has a manufacturing team to produce new designed and personal products. It also has a subsidiary in the US where customers can order personalised products for their friends and relatives in China.
Kadang’s business idea was initiated in 2004 by a Chinese student in the US who is currently the CEO of Kadang. There are 70 employees in Kadang, including senior management, design and manufacturing teams.

Oswell Sourcing
Oswell Sourcing Co Ltd in Shanghai is a supplier specialising in metering tools, educational instruments and a wide range of orthodontics tools and dental products. It was founded in 2001 by Owen Yin who had considerable working experience in a business-to-business company.
Oswell initially imported the tools and instruments. It then developed products and technologies itself, which it transferred to manufacturing partners in China under exclusive supply and confidentiality agreements. It also offers extensive technological consultancy to manufacturers and end users. By developing these products, Oswell’s expertise successfully bridges the gap between buyers and manufacturers.
Oswell’s products cover current transformer, potential transformer, latching relay, shunt sensor, brackets, buccal tubes, molar bands, wires, orthodontic instruments and tools; porcelain teeth, synthetic teeth, cement, amalgam, silver alloy, precious metal or alloy used in dental fields, disposable products.
In 2006 its exports were valued at £3.8m. It has international clients in Vietnam, Greece, Sweden, the UK and the USA.
