About Sharmin Shobnom

I completed my BSc (Hons) degree in Business Information Technology with a Distinction from Northumbria University where I was awarded Accenture Award 2010/2011 and Dean Award 2009/2010. I also completed my MSc in Business with Marketing Management from the same institution in 2011/2012 with Distinction. 
In 2013, I won the
 Northumbria University Research Studentship scholarship for Doctoral study and am currently in my final year of Doctoral study. 
I started my teaching career as a Teaching Assistant in Perdana College of Malaysia (Bangladesh Branch) in 2008. To pursue further education, I moved to the UK in 2009 and took part in several research and non-research related work experiences. I returned to my teaching career as an Associate Lecturer in 2014 at Northumbria University and am currently working as a Lecturer at Teesside University. 

Research interests and activities

My main areas of research interest include Reward Management, Employee Retention, Employee Turnover and Qualitative research methods.
