Safety is everybody’s business
We have launched a new campaign to ensure all university staff have undertaken the required health and safety training.

The University's health and safety and occupational health staff are based in the health and safety centre, which is on the ground floor of the Foster Building.
There are four members of staff working in the centre to offer you advice and information.

- Steven Westcough - Health and Safety Adviser
- Anne Richardson - Occupational Health Adviser
- Emma Shaw - Assistant Administrator.
They are supported by department safety officers.

Our health and safety team are here to ensure you are safe while on University premises. It is your responsibility to comply with the University's rules and regulations so you don't endanger yourself or anyone else. You must report all accidents to the University health and safety centre.

Occupational health
The occupational health adviser works in the health and safety centre, providing an accessible, confidential, advisory service for all employees. Advice and support is provided regarding the effects of health on work and work on health.
