Accommodation at Teesside

We have accommodation right here on campus or just a short walk away.
You can choose University-managed halls, houses or flats (724 places) on campus or University-managed housing in the private sector (425 places) - all within easy walking distance of University facilities.
Code of practice
The accommodation service is signed up to an approved code of practice for the management of our residences which is overseen by Universities UK (UUK) and the Standing Conference of Principles.
- Undergraduate students who accept Teesside as their first (firm) choice are guaranteed a place in accommodation on campus (apply before 1 April).
- Affordable student housing within easy reach of the University guaranteed for international students who apply before 1 September.
If you apply after 1 April, we will still guarantee you a place to live in University-managed housing.
If you have applied online we will send you details of your allocated hall and room from May onwards.
If Teesside is your insurance choice, you can only apply for accommodation in August if you decide to study here. We will provide accommodation but it may not be possible to offer you your first choice.

Postgraduate students
We do endeavour to place mature and postgraduate students together to cater for your different requirements. If you are a postgraduate student you can extend your residence contract for 50 weeks.
Clearing candidates
We are usually able to offer places in University-managed housing if you apply through clearing or we will help you find suitable accommodation in the private sector.
Disabled students
If you would like to live on campus we will offer you appropriate rooms where possible. If you need any specialist equipment you may be eligible for external funding. Our adviser can help you access these resources.
