Accommodation at Teesside

Fact
We have accommodation right here on campus or just a short walk away.
You can choose University-managed halls, houses or flats (724 places) on campus or University-managed housing in the private sector (400 places) - all within easy walking distance of University facilities.
Rents in University residences, with free internet, cost £49-£84 a week (2010-11). In University-managed houses in Middlesbrough, rent varies from £54-£59.
- Undergraduate students who accept Teesside as their first (firm) choice are guaranteed a place in accommodation on campus (apply before 1 May).
- International students starting a course in September, are guaranteed a place in University accommodation.
If you apply after 1 May, we will still guarantee you a place to live in University-managed housing.
You receive an offer of accommodation from us from July onwards. At this stage you need to sign a contract for your room and pay a deposit of £150.
If Teesside is your insurance choice and you decide to study here, we will provide accommodation but it may not be possible to offer you your first choice.
Postgraduate students
We do endeavour to place mature and postgraduate students together to cater for your different requirements. If you are a postgraduate student you can extend your residence contract for 50 weeks.
Application forms
If you've been made an offer of a place on a full-time course you'll be sent our accommodation brochure with application form. For next September entry, brochures are sent out in March. You can also apply online from your VIP page.
