- Start your own business: Victoria Road, offer a wide range of support, advice and guidance to anyone who wants to start a business. Our services include business planning, finding financial assistance, and signposting to business resources and support options in the Tees Valley.

Prince’s Trust Business Programme - Entrust assists small businesses in the North East with advice, consultancy and financial support, with a view to improving growth, development and sustainability. Support is provided for start-up businesses, those that have started trading or an established business.
Entrust website - Train to Gain helps you develop your people skills - a sure way to boost business success. It offers free, independent training advice to businesses of all sizes in the North East.
Train to Gain - Codeworks is a centre for digital innovation based in North East England. They work with technologists, digital companies, entrepreneurs, university researchers, venture capitalists, economic developers, rationalists and visionaries in the development and creation of digital companies.
Codeworks - Business Link is a government-funded service designed to help businesses start up, survive and grow.
Business Link | Business Link events - North East Finance (formerly NStar) develops a range of access to finance initiatives across North East England. Their role is to put in place venture capital, mezzanine and loan funds, targeted at high-growth small and medium-sized companies seeking investment finance.
North East Finance - Finance Tree helps your business to access the finance it needs to start and grow. They help you understand the needs of investors; provide training, advice and assistance on seeking investment, venture capital or Business Angel finance.
Finance Tree - Prowess is the UK association of organisations and individuals who support the growth of women's business ownership. They raise awareness, share best practice, advocacy and information.

North East Chamber of Commerce - Women into the Network offers a wide range of activities for those who are thinking of setting up in business, new to business, already established or want to support other women in business.
Women into the Network - Entrepreneurs Org (EO) is a global network of over 7,300 business owners in 42 countries. Founded in 1987, EO enables entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, providing both business and personal development.
Entrepreneurs Org | London Chapter - Entrepreneurs Forum was formed by a group of the region’s entrepreneurs to share experience, inspiration and opportunities in confidence. Real business is discussed in a non-trading environment where introductions are welcomed. Young entrepreneurs are encouraged and given advice and support. It supports growing businesses, emerging talent and helps to create the wealth, jobs and opportunities that contribute to sustainable transformation.

Make your Mark - National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) – Flying Start supports graduates, up to five years, to realise their ambitions and support new businesses. To follow the flyingstart programme it is necessary to register online.
Flying start - National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA) - an independent body with a mission to make the UK more innovative. NESTA invests in early stage companies, informs and shapes policy and delivers practical programmes that help others to solve future challenges.
National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts - TechStars is a mentorship driven seed stage investment fund. The TechStars runs annually in Boulder, Colorado and Cambridge, Massachusetts. Each programme takes about ten companies who get up to $18,000 seed funding, intensive top level mentorship and the chance to pitch to angel investors and venture capitalists.
TechStars - Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) is an organisation for rural women in business, offering a dynamic member package of practical and specific business services and support for women in rural enterprise including; WiRE Local Network Groups (60 across the UK) offering rural women in business the chance to network and do business with like-minded women, a quarterly glossy magazine, monthly e-newsletter and countless marketing opportunities.
