My advice to anyone considering part-time study is to do it – don’t wait until the time is right.

I had studied at Teesside twice before: I completed a Certificate in Counselling at (then) Teesside Polytechnic in 1989, and a Certificate in Management in 1994.

I started my master’s degree in human resources management in 2003. I studied part-time while working as Head of Workforce Development for Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust. I enjoyed studying with both full-and part-time students, and it was fun working with international students. The tutors were really supportive, and all the students were helpful towards each other.

My advice to anyone considering part-time study is to do it – don’t wait until the time is right. So many people say they want to study but are too busy – you have to make the time, and ask for help – there is so much around.
