Designed to be short and stimulating, these one-hour events involve a short presentation by an academic with a wealth of experience working with business clients, to demonstrate how working on real-world business problems can have a huge positive impact on their teaching and research.
You will also have time to network and catch up with colleagues from across the University over lunch.
These events are a good opportunity to find out how you can get involved in a live business project and the significant benefits it can bring you professionally.
This month we hear from Lynne Hugill from the School of Science, Engineering Design.
Lynne will talk about how engaging with the community through the BA Fashion and Textiles programmes.
This includes collaboration with Oxfam for the Festival of Thrift, making and selling products to MIMA, and plans to develop a Stitching Academy to train the local community to manufacture garments.
Lunch and refreshments are provided.
