Teesside University offers a wide range of facilities to businesses in the region at both the Middlesbrough and Darlington campuses.
Darlington campus
Our prime site, close to both Durham Tees Valley Airport and Darlington train station, is an ideal venue and location for conferences, events and business meetings, with top floor facilities specifically designed for business use. Access by car is easy, and onsite parking is available.

Meetings
Our quality managed meeting facilities of various sizes, offer hi-spec equipment and software, internet access, car parking and catering.
The Centre for Enterprise and Phoenix Building offer high quality facilities and support services in the centre of Middlesbrough.
Travel directions and maps
Our meeting rooms are equipped with multimedia projection equipment and internet. All our rooms are on the ground floor with easy access for the disabled. University lecture theatres and classrooms are also available for hire.

Digital creative
The University offers a wide range of resources for the business community, from bespoke training packages through to equipment hire and video production services.
Facilities available include:
- purpose built teaching facility with nearly 4,000 square metres of studio space
- state of the art broadcast studio
- TV and radio studio
- professional corporate video production service
- authorised Apple Training Centre offering accredited Final Cut Pro training
- two large design studios and IT suite for computer-aided design
- 30 workstation PC lab specifically for CAD and specialist design lab with Adobe CS3 Design Premium (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver etc.) AutoCAD and 2010 Corel Draw.

We have a top class, high definition, track based motion control camera system, which is capable of creating amazing visual effects – from simple crowd duplications, to highly detailed complex artificial live action sequences.
Our other facilities include a feature film Icon D-Control DigiDesign mixing desk and DigiDesign’s award winning ProTools software, regularly used on television dramas and features.

Business accommodation
The Phoenix Building includes high-quality business accommodation aimed at digital companies who are looking to develop innovative products or services. You can also take advantage of collaborative and development opportunities with the University.

There are a range of office spaces, all available through simple lease arrangements. Tenancies include the provision of all services including heat, light, telephone, internet and networks at competitive rates. IDI business tenants also have access to a meeting room, boardroom and state-of-the-art sound stage facilities, again at competitive rates.
Potential IDI business tenants must be able to show evidence of financial viability Business tenants can take advantage of flexible working spaces from 365 to 1,000sq ft. Included are: Leases for one or two years, ICT network connection, single unique external public IP address, multiple internal private IP addresses, firewall protection, wireless network. Includes all heat and lighting, connection to University telephone system, reception service during business hours, 24/7 access to the building, wi-fi in public areas, cleaning included, security, choice of furnishes or unfurnished units, car parking two spaces for a large unit, one for a small unit.
To be an IDI business tenant you need to:
- use digital technologies to develop innovative products or services

Environmental chamber
Our environmental chamber can simulate almost any environment on earth with temperatures ranging from +40°C to -20°C and humidity levels between 5% - 95%.

It is used for athletes and individuals to experience extreme environmental conditions and help in acclimatisation for events and challenges.
The chamber can also be used to test clothing, equipment and occupational tasks in extremes of temperature in a scientifically controlled environment.
Courtroom and crime scene house
Our courtroom is an exact replica of those at Teesside Combined Courts and it can be set up to simulate family, crown or magistrates’ court hearings. The facility allows proceedings to be transmitted over the web, enabling question and answer sessions via video link.

Teesside also has the largest crime scene house to be found in a British university. Inside are over 30 crime scene areas - lounges, kitchens, master bedrooms, children's bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a fire scene, clothes shop, bar and travel agents.
