Innovate Tees Valley

What is Innovate Tees Valley?

Innovate Tees Valley has been established to help Teesside's ambitious business community access funded support to achieve growth through service and product innovation.

We want to help you take your business idea forward, overcome growth barriers and seek success both here and overseas. Innovate Tees Valley combines the knowledge and expertise of four business growth specialists, creating a powerful innovation super network of partners:

  • DigitalCity
  • North East of England Process Industries Cluster (NEPIC)
  • Materials Processing Institute (MPI)
  • Teesside University

Be it a product, service or market exploration, Innovate Tees Valley can provide extensive business and innovation support - accelerating you from idea to growth.

How does Innovate Tees Valley work?

An initial discussion will confirm if your company is eligible for support and that there are potential markets, solutions or innovations.

If so, a more detailed assessment (diagnostic) will then be carried out to assess the potential for the SME* to develop new innovation projects and an action plan will be created.

An account manager will arrange in-depth support from a technical expert. The type of support offered could include market intelligence, technical support, including additive manufacturing, prototyping and piloting facilities for scale up, help with funding bids, technical mentoring through the innovation process or a funded graduate placement to implement your project.

Our account managers have a wide range of networks and will help you to get further assistance from other funding initiatives along the way.

With a passion for innovation, your Innovate Tees Valley partners have one goal - accelerating growth from your ideas.

Innovate Tees Valley is a free service available to growth-oriented Tees Valley businesses employing less than 250 staff and with an annual turnover no greater than £40m per annum.
