Institute of Digital Innovation opens its doors

A range of exciting interactive displays showcasing the work of DigitalCity Fellows greeted visitors to an Open Day at the Institute of Digital Innovation.

Guests were also entertained by talks from Lindsey Fallow, a former presenter of BBC’s Tomorrow’s World and Dan Efergen, Creative Director of Online at Aardman Animations. Online is the newest department within Aardman Animations, creators of the hugely successful Wallace and Gromit.

Visitors were also able to learn more about the variety of companies created through the IDI, while taking part in tours of the building, including the sound studio housed in the Phoenix Building.

The Institute of Digital Innovation is part of the DigitalCity initiative which aims to create a vibrant, successful and self-sustaining cluster of Digital companies in the Tees Valley. DigitalCity also involves DigitalCity Business, based in the newly created BoHo Zone close to Middlesbrough’s town centre.
