Dr Cable was greeted by Chairman of the Board of Governors Sandy Anderson at the Centre for Enterprise on Thursday 5 August.
He was then taken for a discussion with University staff including Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Enterprise) Professor Cliff Hardcastle and Dean of Teesside University Business School Alastair Thomson who spoke to Dr Cable about the University’s achievements and plans for the future.
Dr Cable then spent an hour taking questions from around 20 leading business figures from around the region.
He thanked the University for the hospitality shown to him and said he was impressed with the work being done here.
