Fusion Hive receives an A* from Vision for Education

13 October 2015

Fusion Hive has welcomed one of the largest education employers in the UK specialising in the supply of teachers for Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT).

Vision for Education Ltd, the largest educational employer in the region with over 500 teachers, has relocated its Middlesbrough SEN office to take advantage of the benefits offered at the digital innovation centre located on Stockton’s Northshore.

Formed in 2008, and now part of the TES (Times Educational Supplement) Group, Vision for Education has grown by creating lasting relationships and providing exceptional services to both teachers and schools. The company has built an enviable reputation for its ethical approach to fair pay for teachers and fair recruitment charges for schools. It also provides essential additional training for SEN teachers in house and free of charge.

Will Washington, National SEN Manager at Vision for Education, said: 'Our business is heavily reliant on the Internet, and by moving to Fusion Hive we now have full access to super fast fibre broadband. We can benefit by using other facilities such as the meeting and training rooms when we host our in-house specialist SEN training.

'There are only three of us based here at present but the flexible, light-filled space makes this the ideal location to grow and expand. The ethos of the company is to create lasting relationships with both our schools and our teachers, with the hope this will create more business. We are growing and have recently opened another SEN office in Manchester and look to double our workforce in the coming years.'

Managed and operated by Teesside University, Fusion Hive’s purpose-built, flexible workspace offers the ideal environment for business collaboration. It also gives members access to the University’s significant business networks, expertise and training provision, and the help it provides in sourcing potential funding.

Laura Woods, Director of The Forge, Teesside University’s new business hub, added: 'We are delighted to welcome Vision for Education to Fusion Hive. We provide an environment that will be of great benefit to them, including large training rooms suitable for recruitment and events. We know the team has plans for growth and we will be on hand to accommodate this in the future.'

Fusion Hive is part funded by The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The ERDF’s Competitiveness Programme 2007-13 is bringing over £300m into North East England to support innovation, enterprise and business support. It will help create and safeguard 28,000 new jobs, start 3,000 new businesses and increase the productivity by £1.1bn per annum.

Fusion Hive is transforming the way businesses operate in the region. The Hive is more than just an office space, it brings together like-minded tenants and gives them the opportunity to network, collaborate and capitalise on opportunities for growth.
