Fusion Hive move will help Squegg to grow

03 November 2015

A branding consultancy has designs on future growth after moving to the Tees Valley’s newest business and innovation centre.

Squegg is the latest tenant to move into Fusion Hive, a state of the art hub for growing digital and creative businesses on the banks of the River Tees at Stockton’s Northshore.

Ben Sanson, the company’s owner and Creative Director, believes the opportunities afforded by Fusion Hive’s unique relationship with Teesside University will provide the perfect atmosphere for his business to grow and develop.

Founded in 2011, Squegg provides branding, design and print solutions for a variety of businesses, ranging from some of the region’s largest employees, such as SK Chilled Foods and Cleveland Cable Company, as well as national businesses and organisations including The Royal Hospital of Neuro-rehabilitation, based in Pudsey, London.

Its services include corporate brand identities, designing of literature, logos, marketing campaigns, web design and development, exhibition displays and advertising.

Ben said: 'We’ve worked with a variety of business and aim to be the one-stop solution for our clients’ needs.

'We’re hoping to build up our team and the move to Fusion Hive should certainly assist with that and allow us to be more accessible to start ups and SMEs in the region.

'It’s in a fantastic area with great views across the river and the facilities are brilliant.

'The fact that that you’re sharing a building with other like-minded businesses and the links with Teesside University will really help us.'

Fusion Hive is managed and operated by Teesside University and offers purpose-built, flexible workspace for business collaboration.

It brings together digital and technology companies and gives them the opportunity to network, collaborate and capitalise on opportunities for growth.

It also gives access to the University’s significant business networks, expertise and training provision, as well as assistance in sourcing potential funding.

Laura Woods, Director of The Forge, Teesside University’s business hub, said: 'By combining the latest digital design techniques with a creative flair, Squegg are a perfect tenant for Fusion Hive and we are delighted to welcome Ben and his company here.

'I have no doubt that the many opportunities Fusion Hive has for collaboration and cooperation will enable Squegg to succeed in its ambitions for the future.'

Fusion Hive is part funded by The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The ERDF’s Competitiveness Programme 2007-13 is bringing over £300m into North East England to support innovation, enterprise and business support. It will help create and safeguard 28,000 new jobs, start 3,000 new businesses and increase the productivity by £1.1bn per annum.
