Pathfinder projects

Teesside University successfully bid for Pathfinder funds to support 16 different projects - the highest number of projects for any institution in the North East. Some examples of these are:

  • Business improvement techniques (BIT) Business improvement techniques (BIT) for manufacturing organisations – a UCPD in BIT, covering a range of themes including performance management, total productive management and lean manufacturing, all of which are relevant to modern manufacturing organisations.
  • Body location and recovery – a level 4 non-accredited short course in scientific techniques of body location, recovery and analysis developed in collaboration with Durham University.
  • Development of key performance indicators (KPIs) in manufacturing organisations – equipping learners with the knowledge and skills necessary for selecting and establishing KPIs and how to link these KPIs with the critical success factors and key business processes of the manufacturing organisation.
