About this scholarship

You may be eligible for £7,500 if you study an animation, computer games, computing, or engineering course, achieve AAB and are facing financial difficulty.

This scholarship may be relevant if you face financial difficulty during your studies. You are considered based on the financial circumstances demonstrated in your application statement and other applicant data available to the University.

Eligibility

To apply for one of these scholarships you must:

  • choose Teesside University as your firm choice with UCAS
  • have lived in the UK for a continuous period of two years immediately before starting your course of study
  • achieve AAB (or equivalent tariff)
  • be applying for the first year of a three-year degree, not a foundation year
  • outline your financial circumstances and how the scholarship funds will enable your studies.

Awards are made at the discretion of the Scholarships Panel, who may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, as well as other information provided through your application and at any subsequent interview.

About the donor

Dame Diana Brittan DBE has generously donated these scholarships in memory of her late husband, Lord Leon Brittan. Lord Brittan was the first Chancellor of Teesside University from 1993 to 2005. Lord Brittan believed that education leading to continued intellectual curiosity opened up an individual's future and the potential of whole communities and nations.
