BA (Hons) Fine Art

'I believe it is possible to achieve my ambitions, so I would recommend Teesside.'

What brought you to study at Teesside University?

I chose Teesside as it had good reviews, friendly with helpful staff and professionals. I chose fine art as I have an interest in arts and culture.

What did you like about your course?

I enjoyed the course as I had the freedom to express myself and help when I needed it. And I enjoyed all the modules because they all feed off one another.

What do you think of the campus and the local area?

Things are always changing around the campus, for the better. This is a great sign of progress and I loved being part of it. I was attracted by the bursary offer, but it was also the vibrant atmosphere and the fact that it is central to everything around the town.

There is a great variety of pubs and events around the campus, a brand new gym opened in 2016. The town is not short of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and clubs - all on your doorstep.

There are great tutors and staff around the whole of the university. There are regular national and international trips planned, tailored to your course.

What are you doing now? Would you recommend Teesside?

The course itself was about determination and overcoming fear, with the highly qualified, diverse and professional staff. Since graduating I work as a self-employed artist / curator. I believe it is possible to achieve my ambitions, so I would recommend Teesside.
